On the last weekend of July the weather decided to change. 🙂
The girls absolutely loved dressing up in their rain gear and heading for an afternoon of splashing in puddles and catching raindrops on their tongues. Adrian and I missed this event because we were spending the weekend in San Diego. My mom messaged me these pictures, I love that we have the technology to receive a picture of a moment in time while we are far away.
Wow, does time fly or what?! Three years flew by so quickly, it’s crazy to look back at baby pictures and see how much she has changed!
We had a nice/relaxing birthday party for Jillian. Since she doesn’t know many kids it was more of an adult party… tequila shots included. We have the most amazing friends and family!! Jillian hit the jackpot when it came to presents. There was so much she got a little overwhelmed.
We spent the day down in San Diego with our friends. We played at the beach and the girls had the best time!

This year was a pretty uneventful St. Patrick’s Day. I worked in the morning and then did homework when I got home. I did get to play with the girls for a little, here are some hipster pictures from my phone haha. My camera is missing and I’m concerned it may have been stolen. 🙁 We can’t seem to find it anywhere!!! Have you seen it? Found it!
I recently joined a mommy and me bowling league. I don’t know what I expected but it has been the hardest thing ever! First off Jillian is the youngest member, the other 3 kids are 8, 10, and 11. Second it is during Jillian’s nap time which makes getting there, as well as dealing with a tired toddler, extremely hard. Adrian has taken over for me a couple times and has joined me a couple times too, it makes my life easier! There was one day we had to miss so our make up day fell on a Saturday during my brother and brother-in-law’s league family bowl day. This was a fantastic bowling session for Jillian! There was always someone new for her to bowl with and she had a blast. She bowled almost every one of her frames. Typically she’ll push the ball 20% of the time and the rest is just me throwing the ball for her.

On Sunday we visited the Bower’s Kidseum. The first Sunday of every month is free so we went and let the girls explore. It’s a small little hands on museum that focuses on different cultures. Jillian had a great time playing in the museum. Oliva enjoyed playing with the musical instruments. For the Arts and Crafts activity Jillian and I made a clay mask. I shaped and she painted.
