Christmas tree shopping

We went to Home Depot as unusual to buy our tree. It was really crowded and the pickings were slim, but I think Jillian and Olivia did a really great job picking out the tree!

When we got home we got right to work setting up the tree. Unfortunately our stands of lights were not working which put a cramp in our tree decorating ๐Ÿ™

Eventually we found a working strand and noir our tree has lights, no ornaments yet but the tree will be beautiful before our gingerbread house party on Saturday ๐Ÿ™‚

Elf Day 9

Sparkle and Rarity decided to have some Keebler Elf cookies! Mmm I love these cookies, hopefully I can restrain myself from eating them all ๐Ÿ˜‰

Elf Day 7

Close Call! ย Sparkle had some fun things planned for the girls but Olivia went downstairs! So she had to change her plans

The girls had a lot of fun with the headbands anyways!

Elf Day 6

I have been battling a cold for some time now. Thursday I began to lose my voice, so I went to bed early that night. It’s not easy being a teacher without a voice!

Sparkle decided that she was going to be a good elf that night since I wasn’t feeling well, and played on the Lego table again.

Jillian was a bit confused as to why Sparkle did not move. We explained to her that Sparkle really likes Legos and we thought that she wanted to play with them some more. ย Whew!

Side note… one of these days the girls are going to learn to read and want to read about themselves… I have to keep that in mind when writing all of these posts ๐Ÿ˜‰

Elf Day 2

This morning the girls woke up to see Sparkle had returned to our house, the girls were very excited!! Adrian read them the Santa letter and we talked about the things that they needed to work on. Jillian seemed to take to it more than Olivia, since she had a melt down when getting dressed later in the day. While Adrian read the Elf on the Shelf book, Claire decided that she wanted to crawl today. ย She managed to make her way across the floor to find Sparkle sitting on the fireplace hearth. Claire did what she does best and began to chew on Sparkle. One of the Elf on the Shelf rules is that the elves lose their magic when a child touches them. SO of course this was very upsetting to Jillian and Olivia. I told the girls I would E-mail Santa and let him know what happened.

Here is Santa’s Response to the girls.

Letter from SC magic elf dust

With the letter came a small baggie of silver Magic Elf Dust. The directions are to sprinkle the magic dust onto Sparkle and her magic will return.
